I use this for hiking and running in the dark, and it's amazing. The clip is strong enough to stay on a hat, the light is bright, and the battery lasts a while, with ultra-convenient USB-C recharging capabilities. I usually clip it onto a cap, but it also came with a nice adjustable elastic strap in case I want to wear it like a regular head lamp.

The red light mode came in handy when I went stargazing a couple weeks ago and wanted to look at my star map without ruining my night vision. Then I wore the headlight in regular white mode to see the trail as I hiked out. Perfect!

I have this clipped to my ballcap, resting on my nightstand. On nights where I need to get up in the middle of the night for a trip through the house to the restroom I just don the cap and hit the light switch on the unit and confidently walk around the house without the need to turn on super bright lights. This is very convenient and the battery life with this kind of use permits for going weeks without needing a recharge. Highly recommend. A no-brainer at this price point!
