Actual purchaser here. When the website says long throw, they mean looong throw. This light is only rated at 1600 lumens, but out performs the 4000 lumen XT21X and the 3300 lumen XT11GT PRO for throw distance. As a security officer, I feel like this is the perfect pocket sun for defensive use. I can easily get positive ID on someone at 75 yards and tell what color their clothing is, if they have anything in their hands, etc. This light also has just enough of a halo of light around the hotspot, it allows me to recognize other possible issues, people, etc in the area. If you are primarily outdoors, I would recommend this light. If you are a peace officer searching a house, I would prefer the XT11GT PRO for it wider flood while still being bright enough to blind anyone in a room. I have been a Klarus fan for several years now and they have never disappointed me.

I got this mostly for dog walks at night. Typical klarus will blind me or my dog if accidently flashed. I do wish this had a strobe function but as it is designed for EMS that could cause seizures so its understandable it comes without that. It does have two settings. Low and super low. Superlow still will throw enough to reflect off street signs two blocks away. I bought a second to go in my emergency pack.

My wife loves this small but powerful flashlight. Very good at night and for safety.

Meets the needs of a good and small flashlight. It isn't cheap but I do recommend.
