I go camping quite a bit and flashlights are a necessity. I usually use my trusty O-Light, but this FlatTac X1 from Klarus was slightly cheaper, similar in size for my pocket, and to my surprise, much brighter!
Out of the box, the flashlight was a little tricky to figure out. The manual isn't much, but the "user interface" insert helped a lot. There are only two buttons at the top so using a combination of single, double, or triple clicks allows you to change the brightness, modes, as well as lock the light. I wish there were more buttons, but after practicing for 5-10 minutes, you'll get the hang of it.
The flashlight offers multiple brightness levels with a maximum output of 4200 lumens in Turbo mode. I can get by using 1200 lumens, but I was blown away how bright 2200 and 4200 was coming from this small of a flashlight!
This has replaced my O-Light as my new, EDC torch flashlight and am looking forward to hiking trips this Spring!

This flashlight is quite compact in general size, although a little bit long. It's made from what feels like pretty tough metal. It's got a nice look and a very good feel. It's bright. Very bright. You can charge it through USB-C, which is great. Comes with a cable in case you don't have 50 laying around the house already.
I think it's a nice little flashlight.

This is the best flashlight I ever owned - most before were AAA battery type. This one feels more sturdy, very bright and I can tell will last a long time. Had 4 weeks and not charged - use to take out dog at night - so will see how battery goes.
